Been to the cemetery?

Complete this statement: “Two things are sure, _____ and taxes.” You got it!  Death—it’s a sure thing.  It’s hard to go to a funeral home and realize that someday that person lying there will be me.  Someday it’ll be you.  Does that send a chill down your spine?

That chill you feel is natural.  But here’s my prescription: Remember Jesus’ words: “I am the resurrection and the life.  Whoever believes in me, even though he dies, He will live.”  I don’t know about you, but I think that’s great news!  As a Christian, you can plan to die.  But you can also plan to live again.  That makes your faith a source of great hope—even beyond the grave.
